Description
Queen Anne's Lace or Wild Carrot was originally a native of Europe but was introduced to North America many years ago. It is now widespread across most of this continent and is some areas is so plentiful it is considered to be an invasive weed. The attractive white flower clusters often have one single red-purple flower at the center of each cluster. Its scientific name is "Daucus carota" and it is a member of the carrot family. When you crush it's leaves they smell carrot-like. Its tap root can be cooked and eaten.
